XS1100 NEW 2-Yamaha Fuel Tank Chrome Badges-Emblems

Up for bid is one pair (2) of NEW Plastic Chrome/Silver on Black “YAMAHA” Fuel Tank Badges-Emblems. These emblems have the original Yamaha OEM plastic Chrome/Silver with a flat black background and they are not re-conditioned or painted! These Emblems are brand new & in mint condition and will be delivered carefully packaged in protective paper and then packed & shipped in 2 bubble-insulated shipping envelopes to prevent even the slightest damage! International orders will also be shipped with the same packaging.
I have seen these Emblems advertised as an OEM replacement for the 1980 XS1100SG & the 1981 XS1100SH. If you are restoring an old XS11 and your tank & side-cover emblems are in shabby condition or missing, I would use these on the tank & simply remove the old side-cover emblems, fill the holes with
Bondo
& paint the tank & side-covers to match. In my opinion, these Chrome emblems are a better match for the Chrome engine covers & the Black frame on the 1100’s (Midnight Specials being the exception).
These emblems measure
146mm across at the top
& 144mm across at the bottom & they are 37mm wide (top to bottom). The left screw hole is 17mm from the left edge to the center of the hole; the right screw hole is 19.5mm from the right side to the center of the hole.
The screw holes are 106 mm center to center and offset as shown in the photos
, with the left hole 19.5mm from the top of the emblem to the middle of the hole & the right hole 14mm from the top of the emblem to the middle of the hole. The holes are 4.5mm in diameter. I have measured as accurately as possible, but these measurements are plus or minus 1/2 mm.
These emblems will fit will fit the small XS1100 Special 3+ gallon teardrop tank, the XS1100 Standard 5+ gallon tank and the XS1100 large 6+ gallon tank. Please look at the photos of the emblems on the teardrop & standard tank. I don’t have a 6+ gallon tank, but I do have a pair of original emblems from a 6+ gallon tank & the screw holes are the same in terms of size & location. According to an internet source, these emblems
may
also fit the fuel tank
on the XJ1100, XS400, XS650, XS750 & XS850
, but
I cannot guarantee this fit!
